About this forum

Heavy Duty Pickup Forum opened in September 2025 for people who own a three quarter or one ton truck and use it for what it was built for. Gooseneck stock trailers, fifth wheels headed south for the winter, skid steers on a flatbed, plows in a parking lot at 3 in the morning. Ram, Ford and GM all live here, and so do the few people still running a gas 2500 on purpose.

It is run by Jill T., who posts as mod_jill_t. Jill manages the parts counter at an ag equipment dealer in Moorhead, Minnesota, and has pulled a 32 ft living quarters horse trailer with a Sierra 2500 HD for about fifteen years. The domain and the hosting come out of her pocket and a couple of regulars chip in. She reads the contact mailbox herself, slower during harvest.

House rules

• Fill in your rig line. Year, engine, axle ratio, and what you pull. A question about "my 3500" gets a question back.
• Say what you paid. Buying reports without numbers get a mod note asking for them.
• No selling in threads. There is no classifieds board on purpose. Linking a public listing to make a point is fine.
• If you work for a dealer, an auction, a broker or a diesel shop, say so in your posts.
• No how-to posts for emissions deletes, defeat devices or off road only tunes on road trucks. Those posts come down. Talking about the law, the fines and the fixes is fine.
• Mods move posts to the right board and leave a note when they do.
• Accounts are by email request until the spam slows down.

What this is not

Not a dealer, not a lawyer, and not the scale house. Weights, ratings and CDL answers posted here are members talking. Check them against the placard on your own door and your own state before you hook up.
